A Message from Director and Coach, Chris Ledgerwood

At Legit Lacrosse, we believe that an exceptional lacrosse coach should have a deep understanding of the game. They should be able to break down the fundamentals of the sport in a way that is easy for players to understand and apply on the field. Additionally, they should be well-versed in various offensive and defensive strategies, as well as different playing styles. Communication skills are also crucial for a great lacrosse coach. They must be able to effectively communicate with their team members, both individually and as a group. This means being able to provide constructive feedback and encouragement during practice sessions, as well as motivating players during games. Lastly, an excellent lacrosse coach must have strong leadership qualities. They need to set clear goals for their team and guide them towards achieving those goals through hard work and dedication. A great coach will foster a positive team environment where each player feels valued and supported in their development both on and off the field.

I am extremely proud of the coaching staff that we have assembled here at Legit Lacrosse. Each member of our team brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion to the game. Our goal is to develop young players into well-rounded athletes who not only excel on the field but also become leaders in their communities. As the head coach, I have more than __ years of experience coaching lacrosse at both the high school and college levels, and I am dedicated to helping each player reach their full potential and instilling a love for the game. Additionally, we have five assistant coaches who are former college players themselves and bring valuable insight to our practices and games. At Legit Lacrosse, we believe that success comes from hard work and dedication both on and off the field. We strive to create a positive environment where players can grow not only as athletes but also as individuals. I am confident that with our talented coaching staff leading the way, our players will achieve great things.
